SDG 11: SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES TARGET 6: REDUCE THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF CITIES INTRODUCTION & SDG CONNECTION Improper waste disposal at night markets in Changlun has become a growing environmental issue. After business hours, waste such as plastic packaging, food scraps, and disposable drink cups is often left scattered on the ground. This situation leads to unpleasant odours, blocked drainage systems, environmental pollution, and potential public health risks. Although cleaning is carried out by the local municipal council, the problem continues due to a lack of environmental awareness and shared responsibility among night market vendors and visitors. This issue is closely related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) , particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities , which focuses on making cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.
